One of the most fascinating groups in the Champions League continues on Wednesday night, as Atalanta and Young Boys go head-to-head in Bergamo in Group F of Europe’s elite competition.
Atalanta have made a mixed start to their campaign all around. Gian Piero Gasperini’s team opened their Champions League campaign with an exciting 2-2 draw at Villarreal.

The game is part of a four-game unbeaten run for the Nerazzurri in all competitions for the boys from Bergamo. Despite the recent decent run of results, Atalanta have at times not played with the same vigour this season as previous campaigns under Gasperini.
The home team have a poor recent record in the Champions League of late. The Italian outfit made it to the last-16 of the competition last season and exited at the hands of Real Madrid. However, they have now won just one of their last five matches in Europe’s elite competition.
Atlanta have also failed to win any of their previous five home matches in the Champions League. This game offers the Italian team the chance to put that record straight.
Young Boys are top of Group F after their surprise 2-1 home win over ten-man Manchester United in gameweek one. David Wagner’s team certainly head into the game in good form, as the Swiss side are unbeaten in ten games in all competitions, having recorded nine wins in the process.
The victory in gameweek one means that Young Boys are now seven games unbeaten in the Champions League including qualifying rounds, having recorded four straight wins.
Young Boys have not been the best travellers of late in the Champions League, as the visitors have won just one of their last eight away games in Europe’s elite competition.
PlusBet.net predicts that Atalanta will record a victory in a high-scoring encounter to boost their chances of making it to the knockout stages of the Champions League.
