Galatasaray will welcome Lazio to the Türk Telekom Stadyumu as the two look to build on topsy-turvy starts on the domestic front in the Europa League and get off to a winning start in Group E where Marseille and Lokomotiv Moscow also compete.

The Turkish giants have started their Super Lig campaign off in pretty poor form given their usual title-competing standards, as they now sit with two wins and two draws from the opening four games.

Although this means they are unbeaten, it has also seen them concede five goals – this is the second most inside the top 10.

Galatasaray also had a complex task of actually getting to the Europa League itself, as they went through two qualifying rounds following their defeat over to legs to PSV Eindhoven, who knocked them out of the Champions League.

The Super Lig outfit would have to come past St. Johnstone and Randers in the Europa League qualifying rounds, and it was only an own goal against Randers that allowed them here to face Lazio.

As for the Serie A side, they have been brought back down to earth following their 2-0 defeat to AC Milan in the league.

Prior to this, it had been a fantastic start by Lazio, as they eased past Empoli 3-1 on the opening weekend, before netting six in a 6-1 win over Spezia.

Ciro Immobile scored four times over those two games and the Italian has continued his brilliant form from previous seasons, and he will be a threat here once more.

Galatasaray, on the other hand, witnessed two goals from Emre Kılınç in the last game and he will be looked at for goals again.

Galatasaray manager, Fatih Terim, has also been dealt a few injury issues early on which has forced in some unlikely names, but the experienced boss of the Turkish giants usually pulls something out of the bag when it comes to the Europa League.

Given the mixed form from the home side and how Lazio have just come off the back of a fairly telling defeat to Milan, it’s set to be a close game, however, predicts Galatasaray should get the job done here.

Over 2.5 goals are also expected as both sides have started their campaigns on the domestic front with a flurry of goals, but the Super Lig outfit are expected to get their Europa League season off to a positive start here.
