Jönköpings Södra vs GIF Sundsvall Preview 14/10/2021
A vital clash in Sweden takes place this Thursday night as Jönköpings Södra welcome GIF Sundsvall to the Stadsparksvallen with both sides in desperate need of a win in order to keep up their respective hopes in the latter end of the season.
Södra currently sit in eighth place in the table in what has been an incredibly underwhelming season for them off the back of a third-placed finish in 2020.

As of now, however, have won just nine games all season long from a total of 23.
Furthermore, they have also lost nine games, meaning they’ve lost and won the same amount and at the same time, they have also conceded 28 and scored 28 of their own, so they quite literally define ‘topsy-turvy’ this season.
More worryingly, from the 28 goals from 23 games is how nobody in the team seems to be able to find any consistency in front of goal.
In fact, their top scorers after 28 league fixtures both sit on six goals each as Eric Johana Omondi and Robin Book lead the way with the only bit of goalscoring form this campaign.
With promotion to the Allsvenskan only coming for the top two and the third-placed side advancing into a playoffs battle, it’s unlikely that Södra will close the 11-point gap on GIF Sundsvall, who sit second.
They are just eight points off third, and this is still obtainable, but they must win here first.
As for Sundsvall, as mentioned, they are in second place right now and they can start to get excited for promotion if they win.
The club currently have a game in hand over Varnamo in first and Helsingborg in third, which is played in this game here.
As a result, a win would put them a point off the league leaders and six clear of third and give them some breathing space in their promotion battle.
Eyes will be on Linus Hallenius for this game too, with the Swede on 12 goals at the age of 32 this season, and he is chasing down Dijan Vukojevic and Ajdin Zeljkovic for the top scorer award, who are both a goal ahead of him.
This game is set to be a very close one with so much riding on it. However, PlusBet.net are backing a Sundsvall win as their promotion charge seems unstoppable.
PlusBet.net also predicts the game will see over 2.5 goals in this must-win clash for either side.
