Sparta Praha vs Rangers FC Preview 30/09/2021
On Thursday evening, Sparta Prague and Rangers go head-to-head at the Generali Arena in Group A of the Europa League, in what could prove to be a pivotal match in the group.
Sparta Prague are enjoying a good recent run of form at home and abroad, as the team from the Czech Republic capital head into this game on the back of a four-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

That unbeaten run includes a goalless draw with Brondby in gameweek one of this competition. Since the draw, Sparta have picked up a draw and two wins in their domestic cup and league.
Sparta have a poor recent record in the Europa League, as they have now failed to win in three matches in the competition, picking up one draw and suffering two defeats in the process.
The draw in Denmark in the opening gameweek at least ended a run of two straight defeats for the home side in the Europa League. It also saw them keep a first clean sheet in 17 outings in the competition.
Rangers are in that now-familiar position of top of the SPL.However, Steven Gerrard’s team kicked off their Europa League campaign with a 2-0 home defeat by Lyon in gameweek one.
The defeat was a blow in such a potentially tight group.
The reigning Scottish champions form in the competition has been majorly inconsistent of late, as Rangers have won just one of their last five matches in the Europa League.
They have also failed to score in three of their last four outings in the competition.
One positive for Gerrard and his team heading into this game is that they are unbeaten in eight away matches in the Europa League.
PlusBet.net predicts that this game will end in a high-scoring stalemate, which would do neither team’s chance of making the last-32 much good.
