On Friday night, Groningen and FC Twente go head-to-head in the Eredivisie, as the visitors look to continue a promising run in the Dutch top-flight.
Groningen have started their Eredivisie campaign in a poor fashion, as they currently sit in the relegation play-off spot. The home team has taken just five points from their opening seven games in the Dutch top-flight, including winning just once.

A 3-0 defeat against reigning champions Ajax last time out means that Danny Buijs’ team have failed to win in five league outings, having suffered four defeats in the process. They have concerns at both ends of the pitch.
The fact that they have now failed to score in back-to-back league games is certainly a worry for the home team.
Groningen have found home wins hard to come in the Eredivisie of late, as they have now failed to win in seven home games on home soil in the Dutch top-flight.
After failing to win any of their opening three league matches FC Twente have now recorded four straight league wins, including a 3-2 win at Heerenveen last time out.
The visitors have found their shooting boots of late, as they have scored at least three goals in their last three matches in Eredivisie.
Former Norwich striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel is in a rich vein of form in front of goal, as the veteran striker has now scored in Twente’s last three league games.
Twente have won their last two away games in the Eredivisie, having previously suffered five straight league defeats on their travels.
The visitor’s defence has certainly been generous on the road of late, as they have conceded at least two goals in five of their last six away matches.
